Great atmosphere. Delicious coffee. Good hot chocolate. Delicious fresh baked desserts.
Great service. Very friendly place, nice and cozy atmosphere. Well done.
The food was great but the service not so good. I asked for tap water and it was served warm (no ice) and never offered to replenish my glass. I have been in a lot of LPQ in the last years in different countries and this branch was below the average.
This Le Pain is a wonderful place with amazing staff at a great location! We come here for morning meetings every week and I love coming here. The food is wonderful and the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome! Highly recommend this location!!
Had breakfast there multiple times , great service and food.
Ate here twice and it was great both times. The shakshuka and the spucloos yogurt bowl were both great. The speculoos bowl had too many flavors going on though. Ordered speculoos choclate bars online later and they are delicious too. The lemon ginger tea really stole the show!
I do not usually give negative reviews but this place is terrible. The service is very bad, they offer toast but they do not let you change the type of bread, and they claim to be a bakery. The waffle came cold, along with the chocolate. The avocado of the sandwich could not be bitten, it was a stone. A total disaster, I will recommend people not to come to this lousy place.
I love the ample seating and that it's quiet, but the service is VERY slow. So if you're not in a rush, and can wait 20-30min to be served in the dining area, it's fine.
Nice place.
Great healthy food that I apparently needed! 😉
Great staff, clean, relaxing oh and great coffee and food.
Very nice place and food, we really enjoyed it. We'll visit again for sure when we come back to NYC.
They literally need to clean up their act! I don't understand why it is so difficult to clean tables immediately after a customer has left. Why do I have to ask each and every time for the tables to be cleaned. Service is really slack. Food quality has really dropped. I always have their qunoa crispy cake and this time it was moist and soggy with a weird taste. So bad I had to leave it. This used to be a good place but not anymore. Avoid
The two baristas made fun of me in front of my face. Shockingly unprofessional. I won’t be back.
Coffee, tea and pastries are great but service has gone down. Staff girls have attitude and close the store at least half hour before the official closing time.
Great food and environment. Attentive and friendly staff.
Paradigmatic LPQ. Friendly staff. Clean. Worth asking for your food to be prepared to order otherwise at busy times you might get something that's sat under a warming lamp for a while.
Great breakfast, but slow service due to many clients.
We are always looking forward to eating in a Pain Quotidien across the world, but what a disappointment the one on 2nd Avenue was. Being Belgian, we generally like to take a little more time while eating out than the average New Yorker, but here even I got frustrated. I ordered a Petit Déjeuner with a soft boiled egg. A full hour later I received my croissant and bread in a basket...that's it. No knife, no jam, no egg. After arguing with our 'friendly' waitress that I really did order a soft boiled egg with my breakfast and would like some cutlery and something to smear on my bread, I finally received my egg around lunchtime...hard boiled. Please understand, i love Le Pain Quotidien, but it breaks my heart when I see incompetent personnel mess it up.
I love this chain! Their coffee and baked goods are excellent in flavor and quality. Usually if i am in a city and dont know where to eat, if i find a pain quotodien i know i am at a great place !
Matcha tea tasted probably what the water from the bottom of the aquarium would taste like. The quinoa scone was very dry. Cashier seemed to be in a hurry even though the place was not busy at all.
The venue on 2nd Avenue between 49th & 50th has a slightly different menu...includes omelettes & scrambled eggs here!
This particular location has amazing customer service. The food is delicious and the environment is extremely welcoming. I meet with my group here for weekly meetings and have become well acquainted with the staff. Highly recommend this restaurant whether it’s for business meetings or casual meet ups.
Excellent place for a sandwich or cup of coffee. Friendly staff, good service and my personal favorite is the large community table reminds me of Paris sense of sharing space. The clientele is international warm and friendly. A very good choice to take a break from the ho-hum of Starbucks. The bakery is great also.
Absolutely delicious breakfast! Stopped for a quick bite and some cold brew coffee!
The servers (for the most part) are half asleep accept for a one or two smiling souls that stand out. We are upset that such a huge “vegan option” “organic” chain still serves straws, even though NYC has asked for a ban on them. The sever did not ask us - and just brought it in our glass, we were specific in ordering to say, pls no plastic or straws. They are often under staffed with servers running around looking stressed, so i understand why they cannot remember to skip the straw. The green tea matcha latte leaves MUCH to be desired. It was too bitter, and when I asked for Agave, i was told there was none, even though they had plenty of unopened bottles on the counter. Very bizarre experience. When I asked for a new server as ours was clearly checked out, the checked out server suddenly woke up and snapped and me and my 9 year old child. I was once a server so I get it, this response was very inappropriate.
The service and staff at this location are incredibly attentive and welcoming. I definitely would recommend for morning meetups and lunch engagements.
Staff by the name of Jerry was very helpful with my order. He was very kind and professional. I would order from this location because of Jerry. Thank you so much! you were a great help.
Very bad experience. We stopped by in a Sunday afternoon and wanted buy some bread. No staff helped......After waiting for at least couple minutes, a lady walked close to us. She has no any smile on her face, no greetings to customer, tbh, with an unhappy poker face. We bought our bread and left. After open the package at home and we found the bread is terrible! The multi grain raisin bread is extremely hard and it is like a stone! Of course not fresh and taste like has been left for couple days...... I will not stop by this place and won’t recommend any of my friends to stop by!
Relaxing space with great, reasonably priced food and a very friendly staff.
Great Sandwiches&Salad.I can Eat Here anytime.
I really enjoy this place for breakfast. The menu is healthy and diverse. The seating is spacious and is a great place to meet for business or family. The service is friendly and on top of it.
Good breakfast option! Cheap and complete
I love this PQ! Big space where you can have some quiet time in the midst of Midtown. Staff are very friendly and in summer they have a rear patio perfect to eat outside. If you are around Midtown East I definitely recommend this place
The only place that I can have my favorite salmon with a hardboiled egg for breakfast, and order champagne or wine at 09:30 AM! The Best!!!
Nice place to grab coffee and a pastry.
Very good breakfast.
My little midtown east sanctuary! I love to come here during the week for coffee and a bite while I get some work done, on the weekends to meet friends for brunch and also to pop in for a treat or meal to go. Great hot drinks, smoothies, breakfast, lunch, brunch! Super nice staff and easy going ambiance.
This store is about the slowest I've been to. I keep coming back because it is conveniently located but after 15-20 minutes of being ignored I end up walking out and look for a different restaurant.
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our unplanned lunch at Le Pain Quotidian. It is within walking distance from One U.N. Hotel. It looked inviting from the outside while we were strolling and shopping. This cozy bakery and restaurant serves pastries, coffee, salads and much more. We were in for a quick bite.I had the best salad I've ever eaten the day we were there. It was called Fall Harvest, or just Fall salad. It contained everything I love, including chunks of pumpkin!
Really nice and elegant place. The people who attends you is lovely and very polite. Good prices and excellent food.
Had a Brioche and hot chocolate and it was bad. The hot chocolate tasted just like warm milk and the bread was dry like it was made 2 days ago. This location is not a good bread store.
Work there
Like a French isle on this English Manhattan. Everything about bred and the French way. A very good idea and a nice place for those with nostalgia. It also sounds like the answer of God to someone's faithful prayer... the daily bred! Enjoy!
Nice little restaurant. Great atmosphere. The French cream donut was delicious!
Food was very good and so was the service.
The best service out of all the LPQs. And the manager Dante deserves a raise.
always great Food AND coffee / bread
I think is very pricey for the food served. Great bakery options, and a good alternative if you want to eat healthy. I love their chilli, although they make it more in winter.
